Daimios, the kingdom of warriors, is built on blood. Whether it's the blood of their enemies or their own matters not. This prosperous kingdom thrives in a constant state of total war. Their culture, economy, politics, and even the day to day lives of citizens are dedicated to war. While other kingdoms may think them brutal savages or warmongering menaces this is not the case. They foster some of the most powerful and intellectual scientists and wizards. The normal population is given an education in both military and academic subjects so that every citizen has the potential to be the greatest warrior that the kingdom has ever produced. As a result of their training, their education, and their leadership the soldiers of Daimios are the greatest in all of Gaianus. The kingdom is ruled by two emperors. One is the domestic emperor, called Domesticus, and one foreign emperor, called Externus. The Domesticus is in charge of all matters inside of Daimios’s borders while the Externus is in charge of all matters outside of Daimios’s borders. Every 25 years the two Emperors must switch positions so that one emperor cannot gain too much power. They are allowed to switch earlier than that if they wish but not later. Each emperor has absolute power of what happens in the kingdom and the only person who can challenge an emperor’s word is another emperor. The first emperor had a council who would advise him all matters so this has created a tradition to where each emperor will have a council to advise him. This council is made up of nobles and/or generals and may be as large or as small as the emperor wishes. The emperor is the only one who has the power to grant or take noble status to or from a household. A house’s actions or inaction on the battle field is what determines its status. All people in the kingdom abide by a code of honor and will never engaged unarmed opponents unless they attack first, they also will accept a defeated opponent's surrender, and they believe that original emperor was a god descended from the heavens to lead the Daimician people to glory and that the current emperors are decedents of his demigods and that the legion are their angels.

The capital of Daimios is Ithinia, it is more like a giant barracks than a city. Soldiers can be seen training in the many training halls or learning strategy and tatics in the Acadamae of Ithinia, and thin haze of smoke from the many honored runesmiths' worshops is ever present. The runesmiths are the metallurgists who craft all the runic weapons of the damicians. To become a rune smith is to not only be a master blacksmith but to be a master rune mage as well. Most rune smiths are damicians whose body was deemed unable to be given magical enhancements but who still wished to help the war effort. They study for decades to be able to craft the weapons that they do and anyone who is able to get anything crafted by them is lucky to have such a rare piece of equipment in their hands. In the city of Ithinia is the Grand Liborum. This is the school where the best battle mages go to learn how to harness their incredible power. A battle mage is a Damician soldier who has undergone enhancements and is able to use magic. They are a rare breed but an incredibly powerful one. They have the martial prowess of a damician and are a master of the fire magic that they learn in the halls of the Liborum. In the center of the city is the palace, a large square building that looks like an over sized barracks. Inside the walls are decorated with the spoils of war That were won over the ages by the mighty Daimison Emperors. Weapons and armor from the many heroes is proudly on display. And in the center of the palace is two thrones, one for each emperor. Ithinia with the Imperial Palace in the background.

Daimios is able to produce soldiers more powerful than any other kingdom. The legionaries of the Legion are gods amongst men and the Armis are the most coordinated and well trained army in Gaianus. A Daimician youth officially starts the process of training to when they start to go through puberty, so most new recruits are about 12 or 13. The reason for this is because this is the ideal time for people to be give the magical enhancements that turns them into legionaries. Despite it being the ideal time to give a person the enhancements it is still very rare to find a person who is compatible with them and even rarer to find one who would be worthy enough. Once they determine if a person is compatible or not they are separated into two different training programs. The people who are compatible go to the Legion headquarters to undergo the rigorous training that they Legion will put them through. While those who aren’t are sent to a common barracks to be registered and to get prepared for their training. Those who are not compatible join the Armis Imperatori, The Arms of the Emperor, which is often shortened to Armis. Despite the fact that they are not strong enough to join the ranks of the Legion that doesn’t mean that they are treated as if they are weaker. Their training is grueling and is known to be deadly; they are trained until they are at the peak of human physical strength. Their bodies aren’t the only thing that they’re training for the strongest warrior of the land will always be beaten by the smartest warrior of the land. They are given a broad and expansive education in science, mathematics, literature, tactics, and engineering. They are given leadership training so that every soldier can be a competent commander of his peers. They are trained to fight and excel in all types of warfare. Depending on the individual they may be able to be given special training and join one of the specialty branches. The specialty branches are only available for those who have proved themselves better than the average man in that area. There are currently many specialty branches: Libritor (artillerymen), Machimen (engineers), Equitor (cavalry), Dux (commanders), magi (mages), and the administorum (administration). This training is not for the weak and about 25% of the applicants die just in training. Most recruits are about 20 -25 upon completing their training. After they complete their training they are Armis Imperatori for at least 25 years. The Armis organized in a way to where even the smallest squad is able to operate independently and is able to form into a large detachment and function just as well. The largest organized unit in the Armis is the Corpus. A Corpus has anywhere from 50,000-200,000 soldiers in it and is led by an Imperator. There are always five Imperators in all of Daimios and they form the war council of the domestic Emperor. This is different than his personal war council in that they are not picked to be on a council and they always advise the domestic emperor. The second largest unit in the Armis is the detachment. A detachment is comprised of about 10,000 to 30,000 soldiers and is led by a sub-Imperator. The third largest unit is the section. A section is comprised of about 3,000 to 5,000 soldiers and led by a Praefector. The unit after that is a company and is comprised of about 150-350 soldiers and is led by a Princep. The unit after that is a platoon and is comprised of about 50-100 soldiers and is led by a Ductor. The final and smallest unit is a squad and it consists of 5-20 soldiers and is led by a Dux. Unlike the Imperators that amount of officers beneath them can change depending on the situation or on the Imperator. Every single unit in the Armis has the ability to request equipment and soldiers to better suit them for fighting their foe. It is very common for a sub-Imperator to personalize their entire force or just a specific unit to fight a specific enemy or to work better with their command style. Customization isn’t as commonly practiced with the ranks beneath sub-Imperator but still isn’t that rare a sight. An Armis is expected to be able to fit in perfectly with their commanders fighting style and change as he changes. The amount of soldiers in a unit does not include the amount of specialty ranks that are in it. Therefore every unit has a gap to compensate for that. The biggest thing that the Armis stress is battlefield flexibility, coordination, and adaptability. This is why many argue that the Armis is the most successful fighting force in all of Gaianus. Imperator Marius Quintillus with his trusty dog, Aquila. an armis soldier who has been given a Heavy Shot rifle and a shield to fight heavily armored foes. different armis detachments whose armor and weapons have been customize by their Sub-Imperator

The Legion is Daimios’s most elite fighting force and possibly the most elite fighting force of all the nations of Gaianus. If a recruit is deemed able to get enhancements they are sent to the headquarters of the Legion to be tested to find out if they are worthy to become a Legionnaire. Not only is it incredibly rare for a person to be deemed compatible with the magical enhancements but it is just as rare that a person is deemed worthy enough to be given them. You must make it through the grueling tests of the Legion in order to be deemed worthy. If a recruit fails a test and survives then rather than forcing them to face the shame of returning home as a failure they have them perform all the menial tasks and hard labor of the legion. It is incredibly rare for a recruit to pass all the trials and become a full member of the legion. If they do however they will finally receive their enhancements. Then after receiving their enhancements they will begin the brutal training. A Legionnaire’s physical training is even more brutal then anything that a normal human can take and will push the legionnaire to crippling and death. They will be given an advanced education in mathematics, science (physics, biology, and chemistry), engineering, the history of the Legion and Daimios, military tactics of all nations in Gaianus, and a large variety of other subjects. There is a ceremony in the Legion that they have in order to induct the recruits into the legion. This ceremony is such a tremendous honor that the recruit will be allowed to see his family one last time during the ceremony. They are allowed to watch and participate in the celebrations before being forbidden from seeing them again. There is a massive feast and sparring and festivals. The true induction of a Legionnaire occurs after he, from memory, recites the entire history of the Legion in front of the entire legion. This is officially their final test for if they accomplish this then they are legionnaires but if they fail then they are outcasts and the Legion will punish them accordingly along with refusing to allow them into the Legion. After they recite their history the recruits will be given a set of runic armor and weapons. The Legionnaires of Daimios have many traditions which they go by. One of the traditions of the Legion is too keep their numbers as close to 1000 as possibly. The Legion then splits up their forces into Cohorts of about 100 soldiers each. Those Cohorts are further split into squads of 10 soldiers each. Nine out of the ten squads of 10 is led by a brother-captain. A brother-captain is a mostly honorary position and the true power to lead the cohort and squads of the cohort lies with the Centurion, The brother-captains are the first to be looked at for a promotion to Centurion if a Centurion dies or get promoted. The Cohorts are led by a Centurions. A Centurion of a cohort must have at least 75 years of battle experience before considered for a promotion. The rank above a Centurion is a Legate. A Legate is in charge of two cohorts. A Legate is always recruited from the ranks of the Centurions. To be considered for a promotion to a Legate you must have met several requirements. First you must have 150 years of battle experience. Second you must have led your Cohort through 25 victorious campaigns. The third and final requirement is to be approved by the all Legates already in power. If one does not approve of you being in power then you won’t be promoted under any conditions. The rank above the Legate is the Legion Master. The Legion Master is in complete charge of the Legion. His word is law within the Legion. The Legion Master can be chosen from any ranking in the Legion but to become Legion Master you must first be approved by the Emperor himself. Other than that you just must prove yourself worthy to be Legion Master in the eyes of the entire Legion. There are other specialty ranks inside the Legion as well but most of the common specialty ranks either don’t exist in the legion or the people who failed the tests to enter the legion form its ranks. Libritor, Machimen, and the administorum are the specialty ranks in the Legion that match with the Armis. Librarian and Praetorian are the most recognized by the people. When a Legionnaire gets their magical enhancements most of them lose any ability to practice magic that they might have had. However there is rare occurrence where a Legionnaire will not lose the ability to practice magic. When this happens the Legionnaire is taken to the Libritorum to be trained as a Librarian. Librarians are master mages as well as fully trained Legionnaires. They all practice Fire Magic and usually have hundreds of years of magical training. The elder Librarians are the oldest Legionnaires in the entire legion. All Librarians are armed with a glaive spear and they are trained to be able to use their glaive to channel magic. In the command structure a Librarian is considered more as an advisor to the battle commander and is regarded as being the same rank of who he’s advising. To become a Praetorian is one of the greatest honors one can receive in the legion. A Praetorian serves as the personal bodyguard of the Emperor. What weapons they are armed with depends on the Emperor but one thing that always remains the same is a Praetorian’s runic armor is golden and they wear capes with the heraldry of the Emperor that they are protecting. The Legion is Daimios’s most elite fighting force. Legionnaire Avilius Caelius

From birth Hektor has been a warrior of unimaginable strength. Some say that as an infant Hektor strangled a vampire lord to dead. Some talk of the time in which he conjured a fire so mighty that it felled a dozen dragons. Other talk of his victorious campaigns against the orx. His most glorious fight was against the orx warlock of Gulaka in the reclamation crusade. Gulaka was the right hand man of Ghaz and was one of his closest friends. Gulaka had been ravishing the eastern front of the campaign and preventing the damicians from claiming thousands of miles of land. Gulaka was threatening the larges forge town in the front. Without this town the army would be unable to get the siege engines and equipment that it needed to win the eastern front. Hektor was second in command in the platoon stationed to defend the forge town. The forge town had been sieged and attacked so many time that it's defenses were all but destroyed. One night the orx launched a raid one the town while they were defending it. The raid was swiftly held back and didn't cause any damage to the town; however, that was not their goal. The platoon found Hektor's commander dead shortly after. His mangled body displayed in the center of town for all to see. Shortly after the scouts reported that a much larger force of orx was moving towards the town and that they were being led by Gulaka. Hektor quickly pieced that the raid was an assassination in an attempt to disorganize them and attack before order could be brought back. Lesser leaders would buckle under the pressure but Hektor is no lesser man. He immediately rallied his troops and organized them after the raid. He knew that the town defenses were barely functional and that there was no way that he could defend the town without it being destroyed. He then marched his soldiers to face Gulaka head on. Hektor chose to intercept Gulaka in the middle of a forest path that scouts had seen his troops walking on. Hektor then split his forces in half; he sent the first half what he was in in front of Gulaka's advance and sent the second force behind Gulaka to cut him off. Gulaka's forces quickly ran into Hektor just as he had planned it to happen. As soon as they charged Hektor sprung his trap. He conjured a white fire and lit the forest around the path on fire on fire. This enraged Gulaka who charged even more fiercely into Hektor's lines. It was at this moment that the forces that Hektor positioned had arrived from behind and flanked Gulaka. With this Gulaka had no where to go. He charged straight towards Hektor. Filled with rage he wanted to kill Hektor and destroy the people who had destroyed this land. Hektor was ready for this however and he then faced Gulaka in 1v1 combat. As the battle between the two sides raged so did the forest fire. Trees started falling on soldiers from both sides and killing them. All that anyone could see of Hektor's combat was two silhouettes engaged. Then one of the silhouettes fell and both sides stopped. They were terrified that their leader had been killed. Then Hektor walked out from the fire with Gulaka's dead body held above his shoulders. The orx ran at the sight of their leader being killed. Hektor then had his forces run them down and kill them all. News quickly reached Ghaz that Gulaka was slain in battle by Hektor. Ever since then Ghaz has hated Hektor and has fought him on multiple occasions. Each fight has always been cut short but Ghaz is patient and will wait for the day when their final battle will happen.

The magical enhancements that the Legionnaires of Daimios gets provides many benefits to a person who gets them. The first noticeable one is the change in body type. A person who gets the Legion’s enhancements has an average height of 7ft 6inches and an average weight of 780lbs. Most of the weight that they gain is muscle mass and in order to compensate for the increased need for oxygen in their body the enhancements cause the individual to grow a second heart on the right side of their chest. The ribs of a person with the Legion’s enhancements ribs fuse together into a large box and along with that all of the bones in their body grow in size and density. Their bones become as hard as iron and produce red blood cells much faster than a normal bone. Their lungs and kidneys are altered as well and the lungs can filter out minor amounts of toxins and their kidneys makes them almost immune to most ingested or injected toxins. One side effect from the Legion’s enhancements’ is a greatly increased life span. No one is quite sure how long a Legionnaire can live because no Legionnaire has ever died of old age. Some believe that a Legionnaire is immortal but no one can prove that. The average life span of a Legionnaire is 800 years but it’s not uncommon for them to live much longer than that. These are the Enhancements that a Legionnaire receives. This is a warrior of Daimios as compared to a human.
